What do we want a clock for?

When we are playing computer, we know the time by looking at the bottom-right corner;

If there is no computer, you may have a telephone in your room, it should also show you the right time;

Watching television can also let you know the time;

Of course, nowadays, anybody has a cell phones. Look at the mobile phone, and it is very convenient;

In your kitchen, your cooker may have a timer, or the boiler timer also displays the time;

If you go out, you may forget bringing your mobile phone with you, or have it in you pocket, but the battery is gone, you can look around to see  a Big Ben on the church tower;

If you can't find one, or there is a big ben, but the hands always point to half past six PM, but you know that's wrong, because you just had your lunch, then you can ask a passer-by;

If you don't bother asking, or tried one, but she hasn't a watch, same as  you do, then go to a store to buy chewing gum, the time you need to know is printed on the shopping receipts.

A clock without hands

When my friend Lee returned to China, he left me many things which he could take back with him, includes one alarm clock.

One day I suddenly discovered that the clock hands were all gone, a clock without hands!

My naughty daughter opened the lid, pulling out all the hands.

But the clock can still "Tick-Tock". It's working.
